Your Two Cents

So, my friend, we meet again
Via electronic interface,
Somewhere in this magic realm
Of microchips and cyberspace.
Nowadays, it's what we do,
Two friends, to reconnect:
Just tap some buttons on a board
And send them through the net.
Away! The ones and zeroes race
Across the lands and seas
Transporting my words to you
And bringing yours to me.
I understand your days are short
And time is ever fleeting;
But, lest you be a callous heart,
You'll pause to make a greeting.
Verily, I'm panhandling
For spirits, thoughts, and wisdom,
So why not lend me your two cents
--That is, if you can spare them!
